Disc golf is played much like traditional golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, however, players use a flying disc, or Frisbee® The sport shares with "ball golf" the object of completing each hole in the fewest number of strokes. A golf disc is thrown from a tee area to a target which is the "hole" which is an elevated metal basket. As a player progresses down the fairway, he or she must make each consecutive shot from the spot where the previous throw has landed. The trees, shrubs, and terrain changes located in and around the fairways provide challenging obstacles for the golfer. Finally, the "putt" lands in the basket and the hole is completed.
Disc golf shares the same joys and frustrations of traditional golf, whether it's sinking a long putt or hitting a tree halfway down the fairway. There are few differences, though. All of our area courses are free to play and you never get stuck with a bad "tee time."
It is designed to be enjoyed by people of all ages, male and female, regardless of economic status.

We have 3 area courses open to the public for free with more on the way.
Paducah - Stuart Nelson Park
Draffenville - Mike Miller Park
Murray - Central Park
Mayfield - Coming soon to Kess Creek Park
Though most disc golfers started that way, we would never encourage a new player to do so. You just can't throw as far with one and you'll get frustrated and hate the game. Discs are specially made for the sport and are smaller in diameter and denser than a normal frisbee. If you see us at the course we usually have some extras that you can borrow to get a better feel for the game. Costs range from $8-$20 depending on how durable you want your disc to be. Most of us started with the cheaper ones and that is o.k. after a while the players will help you with your selection.
You can get discs at:
